It’s Great to Be Able to Go Full Speed Ahead Again
For over a month I have been a bit challenged because I am working on a project and have been unable to work on it at the speed that I want to.
I have shared with you how much I love to type and write and how I love being on the computer. I practically live on it.
Well, a little over a month ago, I had a terrible fall and ended up breaking my left elbow, fracturing my left wrist and hand and bruised my left knee. If that wasn’t enough, I also fractured my right wrist and hand. That makes for very limited use of both of my hands.
Talk about a double whammy, just when I did not need it!
That challenge may have slowed me down, but I refuse to let it get me down or stop me and I am more determined than ever to still complete the project on time.
Though I am not back 100% yet, I feel much better, I am healing well and I can type again!
It pays to stay on top of things and to stay ahead if at all possible. I say that because even though I had to slow down and was literally unable to fully use both of my hands for a little while, I was still able to stay productive.
I have a few articles that I had written ahead of time so I was still able to provide you with information by posting to my blog. Though I couldn’t type, I could peck away on the computer keyboard using just a couple of fingers. Hmm…
I also learned a valuable lesson. Sometimes you need to be slowed down and it is a good thing. It gives you a chance to regroup and a chance to sit back and take the time to reflect on some of the things that are more important in life.
During my down time, I was able to get ahead on my reading and I learned a lot more technical stuff that I need to know but probably would not have taken the time to learn right now.
However, the most joyous and fulfilling part of this whole thing is the fact that my family and I were able to spend much more quality time together.
To add to that and to my surprise, I did so much reading and research until I was able to brainstorm and now I already have an idea for my next project! How awesome is that!
So you see; if you keep a positive mental attitude and remain focused even when things seem bleak, it’s during that time when you might find that you are at your best, and if you’re not careful, you just might learn something that you never thought you would learn.
Until next time…
Regards,
Angela
