If You List on eBay How To Make Sure That eBay Doesn’t Remove Your eBook Listing

Here are some of the most common reasons why eBay will remove your eBook listing:

Your eBook was placed in the wrong category. For information products, when you upload your eBook, you have to list on eBay in the Everything Else-Information Products, etc., category.

The copyright of the eBooks remain with the writer and you need to let eBay know about it. You need to type a note in your listing addressing the eBay staff. In that note you need to mention that you are the copyright holder of the eBook.

When you upload the eBooks to eBay, you either have to be the copyright holder, or have resell rights to sell someone else’s eBook. In accordance with eBay’s policy, you have to mention your license.

It is good to let eBay know whether you are the owner of the eBook or if you’re authorized to resell it. You can leave a note to eBay staff stating that you are licensed to sell or resell the eBook.

Be careful with your titles. If you give misleading titles to the eBooks, eBay will pull your listing. Do not give titles that will misguide the users. The title has to describe the item as it is.

Do not use keywords that are not relevant to your eBook. If you use unnecessary keywords eBay will remove your listings. Using keywords that are not related to the product will be treated as a trademark violation.

If you are selling eBooks for one cent, eBay will ban your account. eBay does not allow you to sell eBooks for one cent and has suspended the accounts of the people who were caught doing it.

Do not sell copyrighted material. You are sure to lose your account with eBay if you are caught doing so. You should never ever sell an eBook that you are not aware of or one that you don’t have all of the information on.

Never try to upload a listing that has been rejected by eBay without finding out why eBay removed your listing. Once a listing has been rejected by eBay and you find out why it was rejected, make sure that you do not make the same mistake again.

Once you sort out the matter with eBay, you can reset your sales page and ask eBay to check it to make sure that everything is OK.
